In
1986, Janina became the Administrative Director of Teemay Consultants
- forming an occupational health and safety partnership with Mark
Avery (her husband, the Managing Director of Teemay Consultants, see www.teemay.co.nz).
Early
in 1995, the Approved Code of Practice for the use of Visual
Display Units was about to be released. Teemay seminars
were conducted in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. These
venues provided the opportunity to discuss the range of preventative
strategies that were available. The Approved Code of
Practice was later released to the public in November 1995.

in 2005, Janina received professional grading recognition (GNZATD)
with the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Association of
Training & Development Inc. |

and Health Dip.OSH (Massey) The post-graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from Massey University, Palmerston North - was obtained in 1996.

In
2001, Janina trained to become a HSNO [Hazardous Substances and
New Organisms] advisor, one of the specialist team trained by ERMA [the
Environmental Risk Management Authority]. Janina is one of the approved specialist advisors listed on the ERMA register. Although this is a relatively new area for ERMA and its newly trained independent advisors, it is an important role to ensure that client applications are always completed to a high standard.
